About The Ruins of Evermore-The TimeLight Awakenings

The journey begins with a dream that is not a dream…

In the provincial town of Noble, twelve-year-old Heather Nighborne is considered different, strange indeed, seeing auras and befriending the mysterious Aria. And when the time comes for the extraordinary Bristol House to awaken Heather to her true identity and arduous destiny, a grisly incident on the house grounds complicates the girl’s rite of passage: her introduction to the magical Realm of Evermore, the land of Maidens. And yet, that is only the beginning.

The Ruins of Evermore, The TimeLight Awakenings is the first in a series of novels that will take the heroine from age twelve into adulthood and from small town Earth to the exotic planets of Evermore. Over the course of this intricately woven and epic adventure, two vivid and intertwined worlds take shape, highlighted by humor and magic, and shaded with danger and tragedy.

About the Author/Artist:

Born in Burlingame, California, David Saccheri spent the majority of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he worked as an illustrator and conceptual artist in the computer gaming and film industries.

His work can be seen in such films as Pearl Harbor, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars Episode I, the Phantom Menace, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, The Perfect Storm, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and The Polar Express. His video/computer game credits include Carmen Sandiego, The Prince of Persia, and others.

David has illustrated books and websites, and has taught digital and fine art both privately and at the college level. After moving to Arizona, David turned his creative energy and experience towards writing and began to put into words the story that had been evolving for more than a decade: that of Heather, the Maidens, and Evermore.

These days David writes, paints, teaches, surrounds himself with those he loves, and grows roses at his storybook house, longing for a more enlightened world and ruing the demise of civility, integrity, and kick the can.
